Our Lineup of Farms and Gardens:
Farm 1: Providence Hill Farm

PH Farm will host special guest Willenskraft Farm. Willenskraft is a small family owned farm in the Midwest trying to follow their vision for the future by using tried and true “old fashioned” methods of natural farming. Although not “certified”, their garlic is raised using the most natural means available, and the farm is chemical free, whether it’s through the animals they raise or the plants they grow.

Farm 2: Longview Farm
Gunther and Betty Fischer, owners of Long View Farm, produce chemical free vegetables, fruit, and flowers on two acres of garden space, part of a larger diversified farm. Produce, from asparagus to zinnas, includes five varieties of potatoes, seven varieties of onions, three varieties of garlic, several varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, hot and sweet peppers and many greens and squashes. Each year Gunther tries new types of exotic vegetables. Betty makes hand-crafted jellies and jams from pure fruit grown on their farm. Co-founders of the Atchison Farmers’ Market, with Joan Adam, Gunther and Betty have been a part of the Atchison market since it began in 1998.
Farm 3: Birdsong Farm
Birdsong Farms is a small, 20 acre farmstead in Northeast Kansas. “We purchased our farm in February of 2013 in the hopes of supplying our own table with healthy, natural and local food. Our plans have quickly morphed into a growing desire to grow our community’s knowledge of their food, where it comes from and how it is treated from conception to consumption.”
Birdsong will host guest homesteader Steven Denton who will give a homebrewing demonstration.
