Maj. Nicole M.E. Malachowski, USAF United States Air Force Major Nicole Malachowski holds the distinction of being the first female pilot on any U.S. military flight demonstration squadron. As Thunderbird #3, Right Wing pilot, she has performed in front of millions of spectators in 140 air shows across the United States and seven foreign countries. Malachowski is currently serving the White House Fellows program, the President’s fellowship for leadership and public service. She most recently served on the Presidential Transition Support Team and is currently Deputy Chief of Staff at the U.S. General Services Administration. Receiving her commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1996, Malachowski graduated with numerous honors, including recognition as a Top Flight commander for her class and as a Distinguished Graduate. She has served as a mission-ready pilot in three operational F-15E fighter squadrons, holding positions as a Flight Commander and Instructor Pilot. She has flown homeland defense missions as part of Operation Noble Eagle and has acquired 185 hours of combat time in Operation Deliberate Forge and Operation Iraqi Freedom. She has served as Deputy Chief of the Commander’s Action Group for the USAF Warfare Center at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. Malachowski has received numerous awards and decorations for her performance and service in the Air Force, and has logged hundreds of hours in community service. MEET THE PANELISTS MAJ.
