MARIA ANTONIA

Maria Antonia has been with KMBC Channel 9 for nearly 25 years. Her journalistic assignments have not only helped her explore the Kansas City metro area, but the world. Her assignments have included coverage of the U.S. military base in Guantanamo, Cuba, Pope John Paul II’s visit to Cuba and coverage of the start of the war in Iraq from the deck of the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln in the Persian Gulf.

Her assignments usually include coverage by award-winning photo journalist Tim Twyman, her husband. Antonia has received many honors, including several regional Edward R. Murrow awards, regional Emmy’s and awards from both the Missouri and Kansas Broadcasters Associations.
