Whethers its arts & crafts, music or children's activities you're looking for, you can find it on the Commercial Street Mall on Saturday, July 17. Atchison's beautiful pedestrian shopping area will be filled with food, art and craft booths, and the pefectly manicured lawns and numerous benches give you the opportunity to sit down and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. Live music will fill the air throughout the day. And the kids have more than enough activities. From miniature train rides to educational presentations, the kids have it all on the Mall. Don't forget to wish Amelia a happy 113th birthday by signing her giant birthday card downtown.

Music

The main stage is located in the 500 block of Commercial and features musical acts perfect for a beautiful Saturday in the summertime. Browse the booths, grab a bite to eat and enjoy the sounds!

Children's Activities

The kids will have plenty to keep them occupied in the 600-700 blocks of commercial. Some of the activities include a duck pond, miniature train rides, face painting, air brush tattoos, human statue, stilt walker and juggler, Wolfe's Educational Barnyard Petting Zoo and several other performers. Happy Birthday Amelia

It is the 113th anniversary of Amelia Earhart's birth and, as part of an enduring Festival tradition, Atchison residents and visitors sign a giant birthday card for Amelia and have a party, complete with birthday cake! The card and cake will be located in the 500 block of Commercial from 11:00 a.m. - noon on Saturday, July 17.
