The Atchison Public Library is Housed in a lovely 16,000 sf historic building at the corner of 4th and Kansas. Open 9:00 – 8:00 Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 – 5:00 Friday and Saturday.
Storytimes with crafts are scheduled: Monday 6:30 pm (Family Fun Night follows at 7:00 pm on the second Monday), Wednesday 10:00 am and Friday 10:30 am. Special storytimes and tours by request.
Other services include: print audio and video materials for all ages, public access computers, free on-line downloadable audiobooks, free subscription databases, free on-line homework tutoring, interlibrary loan, historical and genealogical information and databases, book clubs, homebound delivery, wireless access throughout building, free computer classes, community meeting room, fax, photocopying, and lamination.

The Benedictine College Library is a three-story, modern facility
located between the Administration Building and St. Benedict's
Abbey. With its extensive holdings of books and periodicals,
it is one of the largest private undergraduate college libraries
in the country. The Library is also a partial depository for
U.S. Government Documents. Access to the internet is provided
via a computer lab which houses 23 computers and network jacks
which are located throughout the library for students to connect
using their laptop computer. Wireless access to network is also
available on the main floor of the library. The Library provides
valuable services and resources to assist the student in throughout
their years of studies at Benedictine College. Services provided
are interlibrary loan, faxing, photocopying, printing, word
processing and reference assistance. Resources provided are
books (320,000 volumes), periodicals (350 subscriptions), microforms,
electronic databases (providing access to thousands of periodicals),
government documents, and special collections.
