Business Assistance
Chamber staff can assist you in locating space, identifying markets and other resources. An available building inventory is maintained and updated on a regular basis. Free small business consultations are offered by trained staff from Mo-Kan Regional Council. An entrepreneurial based program provides free coaching to those wanting to start a business or needs assistance in the operation of an existing business.

Business Contacts
The chamber can put you in contact with potential new customers and clients. Members also have unique opportunities to make valuable business contacts through several Chamber-sponsored events including Business "After Hours," banquets, councils, committees, seminars and workshops.

Business Referrals
Your Chamber receives thousands of calls and correspondence each year requesting information on businesses, their products and services. Chamber staff uses the Chamber Resource Directory to respond to these inquiries. Your membership is truly an investment, as members receive priority when staff makes referrals.

Convention and Meeting Assistance
Chamber staff provides assistance to those hosting meetings or reunions in Atchison. Trolley tours, visitor guides, name tags, welcome bags are provided upon request.

The Chamber Can Help Advertise and Market Your Business

Annual Chamber Golf Classic
Chamber members can advertise their business through a sponsorship in the local Chamber Golf Classic. Annually in July, over 200 golfers converge on Atchison for a day of four-man scramble. Sponsors are listed on signage, banners, and in the event program. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to a community project each year.

Annual Banquet
Showcase your business at the Chamber’s Annual Banquet. Businesses sponsor and decorate a table. Sponsors receive recognition through table signage, banners and a listing in the program. The annual dinner is the social event of the year, drawing nearly 400 members and guests.

Chamber Gift Certificates
Many members will receive a direct benefit from the Chamber’s Gift Certificate program. Those members with goods or services to sell can have a listing and will accept gift certificates, which is good as cash. The member business then presents the gift certificates for redemption from the Chamber. Over $85,000 in gift certificates are purchased annually by individuals and businesses.

Chamber Mailing List
The Chamber’s mailing list is available on labels, disk, or CD, providing direct access to over 500 potential customers and business leaders. Chamber members receive a discount.

Destination Atchison
Chamber Members can purchase space and submit information about their business for this newsletter that is published quarterly and mailed to 5000 households within a two-hour distance from Atchison.

Resource Directory
Chamber members will receive two free listings in the annual Resource Directory. Members name, address, phone and fax numbers, website, and email address will be published with the member’s permission. An alphabetical and categorical listing is provided. Members may further enhance their business through the placement of advertising in the directory.

Ribbon Cuttings and Groundbreakings
Chamber Ambassadors help promote a new location or expansion with a ribbon cutting or groundbreaking. A photo is printed in the Chamber newsletter and the daily newspaper.

Trolley Signboards
Chamber members have an opportunity to expose their business to thousands of visitors through exterior or interior signage on the Atchison trolleys.

Website
Members receive a free listing in the Chamber’s online membership directory. The member’s name, address, phone number and a link to the member’s website will be provided at no cost. Thousands access the Atchison website monthly for information on events, attractions and businesses.
